Are sessions held at home?

Yes. Cathy comes to your home, your residence, your hotel or an outdoor space of your choice — by the sea, in a park or on a terrace. She brings all the professional equipment needed for every session. There's nothing for you to prepare.

Cathy works in Monaco, Monte-Carlo, Beausoleil, Cap d'Ail, Menton and the surrounding areas.

What is Cathy's experience as a sports coach?

Cathy D'Agop is the French Fitness Champion 1998, a state-certified fitness instructor and a certified Pilates Method instructor with qualifications in: Matwork (levels 1, 2 and 3), Pregnancy and Seniors, Small equipment (circle, foam roller, Swiss ball, etc.), Reformer, Cadillac. She has around twenty years of experience in individual and group coaching, working with a wide range of profiles — active women, seniors, pregnant women, people in rehabilitation or with specific conditions.

Her background as a high-level competitor gives her an in-depth understanding of the body, nutrition and effort management that few coaches have.

Can I start sessions quickly?

Yes. Cathy will arrange a first session as soon as possible after you get in touch. Simply contact her by phone at +33 6 40 61 81 18 or via the online contact form to arrange a first appointment that suits your schedule.

How often should I have sessions?

The ideal frequency depends on your goals and your availability. As a general guide, Cathy recommends:

  • 1 session per week: to maintain fitness and progress steadily
  • 2 sessions per week: to reach a specific goal within a reasonable timeframe
  • 3 sessions per week: for a body transformation or intensive preparation

Monthly subscriptions are available from 2 sessions per week, to support consistency and offer better value for money.

What is Pilates for, and why choose it?

Pilates is a method of deep muscle strengthening, postural correction and overall body rebalancing. It works the deep stabilizing muscles — the ones traditional sports don't reach — through slow, precise and controlled movements.

Its benefits are wide-ranging: a flatter stomach, better posture, relief from back pain, increased flexibility, reduced stress and overall well-being. It suits all ages and levels, including people with chronic conditions or pain.

What are the rates for coaching sessions in Monaco?

Sessions start from €70 by video call and €80 at home for a one-hour individual session. Packages of 10 sessions and monthly subscriptions are available. Equipment and travel are included in all rates.

Is video coaching as effective as in-person coaching?

Yes, for the vast majority of exercises. Pilates, strength training, stretching and mobility work are all very effective by video call via Zoom. Cathy guides, observes and corrects in real time — exactly as in an in-person session.

Video coaching is ideal for people travelling for work, on holiday, or who want to keep up their programme from home without travel constraints.

Does Cathy work with people who have specific health conditions?

Yes. Cathy systematically adapts her sessions to each client's physical condition. She regularly works with people presenting:

  • Back pain, herniated discs, lumbar arthritis
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Being overweight
  • Post-pregnancy after-effects
  • Pregnancy, trimester by trimester
  • Age-related joint limitations

She works alongside medical guidance and adapts each exercise to the person's real abilities.

Do you offer sessions in hotels and for tourists visiting Monaco?

Yes. Cathy offers one-off sessions for visitors and temporary residents staying in Monaco — in their hotel gym, in their suite, or outdoors. No subscription required: a single session is possible, booked in advance by phone or email.

This is a solution particularly appreciated by the international clientele visiting the Principality.

What's the difference between Pilates and traditional fitness?

Traditional fitness mainly targets the superficial muscles, often with repetitive exercises and heavy loads. Pilates focuses primarily on the deep muscles — the stabilizers of the spine, pelvis and shoulders — through slow, precise and controlled movements.

Pilates isn't about raw performance but functional efficiency: moving better, holding yourself better, breathing better. It's an ideal complement to an existing sports practice, or a standalone activity for those who want to take gentle care of their body.

Are sessions suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. No physical prerequisites are needed to start with Cathy. Each programme is built from your real level, progressing at your own pace. Exercises are always explained, demonstrated and corrected to ensure perfect execution and optimal results from the very first sessions.
